What is the best iPad PDF annotating tool with Google Drive sync support in 2020? I have been using Add Notes To Pdf.online but it has gotten very laggy recently to the point I am looking at alternatives. I am using iPad Pro 10.5 (2017).

Up to and including 2017 iPads just the Pros, but now there are others. The "budget"/"ordinary" iPad 6th-generation (2018) and 7th generation (2019), the 3rd-generation iPad Air, and the 5th-generation iPad Mini, now support Apple Pencil. Apparently if you've used both the iPad Pro user-experience with the Pencil is slightly better, but if you're a casual user, haven't used both, and don't try to write/draw very fast you may not even notice the difference. T use the original Apple Pencil, that charges through the Lightning port. All the ordinary iPads up till then, including the iPad Air/Air 2/mini 4th-generation and the iPad 5th-generation (2017) don't support Apple Pencil. The newest iPad Pros don't have a Lightning port, because t are almost like computers and use a modern USB type C port for charging and attaching peripherals like mice, keyboards or hard drives. This would be a bit over-powered for using a low-powered peripheral like the Pencil, and Apple had found that sticking the thing out in a wobbly fashion wasn't very popular, so t have a new model of Pencil, Apple Pencil 2, which charges while magnetically hooked up to the iPad's side. The upcoming version of macOS will allow people to use the combination of iPad or iPad Pro with a Pencil to work on a Mac as a graphics tablet. This is probably going to be more of a big deal for creative professionals, since people who just like drawing as amateurs will use one of the cheap or free iPad apps like Sketchbook or the excellent Procreate. The Apple Pencil will not work with any non-Apple devices. Even making it work with the non-Pro range meant Apple had to change how the screen hardware and assembly was done in the modern range, which is why it won't work with older Apple kit. Apple would have nothing to gain from trying to open it up to, say, users or devs with Windows PCs. T're already selling iPad units to people who want the Pencil, or want it as a future option.

Annotate PDF: All You Need to Know

This is going to be better for Apple fans who already like the iPad Pro version of Apple Pencil, the cheaper model. For creative professionals, it would be more useful if it was easier to draw on with the Apple Pencil on a Mac than on Windows PC, since they will be drawing on the same set of brushes on their Mac as they would on their iPad, but it won't be the same thing. Apple could go after non-pro customers by letting them buy the new Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro at a much lower price, for instance for 49 or 59, instead of the standard 159 for the Pencil. Apple has to be careful that new iPad Pro owners don't buy an iPad Air 4, which just has a stylus built-in. An iPhone X, the next iPhone, won't support the Pencil or Apple's other pro products.
