Make Your PDFs Easily Searchable

Did you know that now you have access to more and more new instruments and features which make editing and customizing your PDF documents a lot easier? In fact, you can not only create, edit and share PDFs but do much more complex things as well.

One of the newest options that has to be mentioned is a possibility to add notes, annotations and comments by using our standard toolbar. For instance, you might need to leave a note or comment if you revise a document or if you want it to be revised by somebody else. Notes and annotations may also help you and other users to navigate through large text blocks and spend less time searching for necessary information.

There are two icons in the toolbar for this purpose. They enable you to create two different types of notes:

  • A text box tool. Use it to add a text box. You can resize it, change the border color and drag it to a specific spot on a page.
  • A sticky note tool. Use it to add a colorful note that will help brows through the document. Resizing, font selection and color customization are also possible.

Import Notes, Comments and Annotations in One Click

In order to start editing your PDF, browse for it on your device and upload it to the online editor. Click the ‘Text Box’ or ‘Sticky’ icon to choose what kind of note or comment you wish to add. Drag the object to place it in a certain position. Type in the text and customize its parameters, such as font size, color, text alignment and many others. Use mouse or touchscreen to adjust the size of the box, stretch it vertically or horizontally. The same procedure can be performed if you want to add an annotation.

Click the ‘Done’ button whenever you want to save the edits you made to the document. Don’t forget that besides downloading your edited PDF right away, you can email it to other users or share it in any other way. Which are some good applications to edit (mark, add notes, underline) pdf documents?
The PDF format is commonly recognized as a standard layout for electronic document exchange which is only meant for viewing. Editing tasks are mostly performed in MS Word, which is the industry standard document editing suite. However, with the ever increasing need for swift document management, conversion between PDF and Word formats is increasingly becoming an expensive overhead. Classic PDF editor removes this time consuming problem by providing you with all the necessary document editing features for PDF files themselves adding versatility to the PDF format. Users can now work with a single PDF format efficiently without needing to switch between applications. All you need to do is use the tools under the Edit tab and edit PDF files with your own text and images.

I'm using One Note 2010 and I love the "export to PDF" feature. How can I create a hotkey for it or add an icon on my tool bar?
There is a hotkey sequence for almost every button in Office, starting from the 2007 version. You need to start from pressing Alt key. After that you will see letters under ribbon tabs names like on the picture below:Export to pdf button resides on the File tab so you need to press F key on your keyboard. After that File tabs will open. You need to press another letter key that corresponds to the tab where Export to pdf resides. This letter differs between versions but you will see a tip which letter you need to press. For 2013 version full sequence will be Alt-F-S-X but I afraid that for 2010 version there will be another sequence. Notice that this is a sequence, not a combination. So you do not need to press all buttons simultaneously. Moreover it will work the same way for buttons on the Quick Access Toolbar. To use any button on this toolbar you need to press Alt  and corresponding number key.

It depends on how you’re generating the the PDF. There are a number of tools for typesetting math notation. In the academic world especially, LaTeX has quite a following for typesetting math, but even Microsoft Word includes a tool for typesetting math.
